and　persons　with　which　the　streets　of　London　teem　in　every　quarter　and　

every　　　　　hour。　　　Villiers　　　　prided　　　himself　　　　as　　　a　　practised　　　explorer　　　　of　　such　

obscure　mazes　and　byways　of　London　life；　and　in　this　unprofitable　pursuit
